However, I will start by making a warning: the RDX ladies floral boxing training gloves are not for a fighter. I will tell you why in a while.
They are made of “flora skin” according to the glove brand. This is actually a kind of PU leather that feels like suede. Although they are all double-stitched, durability is not one of their strengths. On the other hand, they are quite cheap.
They are very comfortable to wear. The same quadro-dome 3 padding system seen in the pair that made it to number 3 of this list is used for this one. As mentioned, it’s not very protective, but it will cushion enough if you’re under 90 kg. The wrist straps provide good support for gloves in this price range.
The suede-like material is somewhat warm and has reduced breathability compared to the one made of Maya hide. This would be a problem for long boxing training, but cardio classes are more dynamic.
Now, here is the thing: the cuffs present a huge “RDX” written with glitter. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know this won’t work out in real training. At best, it’s an abrasive area. They have not changed much through the years and they are the usual first choice for the beginner. In fact, those were my first gloves 15 years ago and, when my wife started to train Muay Thai with me a few years later, she bought this exact model.
Everlast are well known. Some of the greatest boxers of all time used them, such as Muhammad Ali, Canelo Alvarez, and Tyson Fury. However, the gloves custom-made for these fighters are way too different from the Pro Style Training gloves. These are, indubitably, amateur gear. But they are good enough for that and this is why they are still out there after all these years.

They also present a multilayer foam to increase shock absorption, but that’s not as efficient as promised. There are many complaints by actual fighters. Even at an amateur level, people over 70 kg tend to think they do not absorb enough impact.
The cuffs are designed to easily put them on and off. The fun fact about this model is that they have actually changed for the worse with time. Over the years, Everlast replaced the classic wrist strap with a partially elastic one with a small velcro, now present in many different brands. The consequence is a smaller limit to how tight you can adjust them, preventing a secure fit for most boxers. A female boxer with thin arms might find these gloves loose and this can be a risk for injuries.

Hawk gloves are relatively new in the market and they are not the first brand that comes to mind when you’re talking about the best boxing gloves for women. They started their activity more than 20 years ago, but their boxing gear is just learning to walk by itself.
Yes, these are definitely amateur gloves. I wouldn’t recommend them for a fighter, but they are not bad for cardio.
The outer layer is PU leather. It feels quite artificial and it looks like a not durable one. The stitching has some issues too. Overall, I could say these gloves won’t last more than a few months with a real fighter. It feels like a timebomb, that’s the truth. However, Hawk sports promises a 5-years replacement warranty and I’m kind of curious if this works or not. I read no complaints about it so far. There are a few about durability, but nobody says if they tried to use the warranty or not. Hawk Sports doesn’t make “how it works” clear either, so it’s a mystery. 5 years is too much even for some premium leather gloves.
The only breathing system is the traditional set of puncture holes. This is normally enough when you’re talking about good-material gloves, but it felt bad with these PU gloves. They do not have good breathability.
The knuckle padding is very dense and it transmits almost all the impact directly to your hand. The cuffs are not terrible, but the velcro is clearly of bad quality. I wouldn’t be surprised if they stop holding the strap in a few weeks.

As bad as the Trideer gloves are the ones ranking number 10 on this list of best boxing gloves for women. In fact, I feel bad I have to include this item here and it’s not only due to the quality.
When I mentioned glove brands that believe creating something for women is nothing but making it pink and/or adding “cute quotes”, Victory gloves were what I got in mind.
Victory promises a high-quality PU leather and high-density foam “designed to last with heavy use”. That’s nothing but jiggery-pokery. They won’t last and they are not cheap considering the quality. The padding is terrible, and so is the wrist support.
They were, at least, honest about one thing: they advertise these gloves as “cardio” gloves. This is one of the reasons why they still got 1.2 stars. As cardio gloves, these are actually not bad.
In my opinion, the kind of marketing they use with these gloves might be offensive to many women. It’s ok to pink things up and write these quotes, but when you use this as the only thing to label your gear “for women”, you’re reinforcing stereotypes.
The description on their website about these gloves actually presents “with cute sayings, you’ll be a hit at the gym or wherever you train”. It’s unbelievable to see something like that in 2023. But I’m not the best person to say it, am I? I’m a man.
