McGregor, With a Big Promise, Replied to Tyson, ‘I Swear On My Life That I Will Defeat Him!’

Mike Tyson praised Conor McGregor, and he decided to reciprocate with one big promise.

Legendary Iron Mike on his ‘Hotboxin With Mike Tyson’ podcast looked back at McGregor’s boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and praised the Irish star.

“He never really had a boxing match in his life, and he reached the 10th round with the best fighter in the last 100 years of boxing. He fought 10 rounds and punched the greatest boxer in the last 100 years. Did he do anything? Did he achieved something? People should pay attention to who he was fighting against and then look at what he did when he fought him,” Tyson said.

It didn’t take long for McGregor to respond to the praise of the former heavyweight champion, so he thanked Tyson on social media and promised him that he would beat Mayweather in the ‘inevitable’ rematch.

“Mike, thank you. And know that in the inevitable rematch, with all the knowledge I’ve gathered so far about Floyd’s style and under the guidance of my old boxing coach, I’ll solve that puzzle and beat Floyd. I swear on my life. And, Iron Mike, great to see you back in action,” Conor wrote on Twitter.

Let’s recall, Mayweather defeated McGregor by technical knockout on August 26, 2017 in his professional boxing debut. Floyd reached 50-0 with that victory and then retired. Although every now and then there is talk of the return of the undefeated world champion and his potential rematch with the UFC star, some concrete moves have not yet been made.
