ONE Championship (ONE), the world’s largest martial arts organization, has announced the details for the global pay-per-view event ONE 165: Superlek vs. Takeru. This event is set to take place at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday, January 28, marking ONE’s return to Japan for the first time since 2019.
The main event features a highly anticipated debut of three-division K-1 World Champion Takeru Segawa, who will challenge the reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9. The global pay-per-view will be available live on Watch.ONEFC.com in most regions around the world, and exclusively on ABEMA PPV in Japan. ABEMA PPV will also carry the event in South Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Before the pay-per-view card, four free-to-air bouts will be available on Watch.ONEFC.com, ONE’s YouTube and Facebook channels, ABEMA, and other partner platforms.
Viewers can tune in on Sunday, January 28, at 5:00 p.m. JST/3:00 a.m. ET for the free-to-air bouts and at 6:30 p.m. JST/4:30 a.m. ET for the global PPV card. However, geo-restrictions may apply for certain regions.
The PPV card also includes American BJJ star Kade Ruotolo defending his ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Championship against European rival Tommy Langaker in a rematch of their June 2023 classic. Additionally, Japanese martial arts legend Shinya Aoki will take on American phenom Sage Northcutt in a lightweight MMA bout, and Japanese-Korean icon Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama faces off against Nieky Holzken in a special rules super-fight.
