Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves Review

Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves Review 2024

This is a review of the Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves

Having had a lot of experience (namely, nearly a decade) in martial arts and combat sports training, I have seen my fair share of injuries. Unfortunately, females don’t have bones as tough as males do, which is mostly due to the testosterone surge males experience in puberty, and their tendency to train more and do more physical work. This results in females being more susceptible to injuries, which is why criticisms of female martial arts equipment (and martial arts equipment in general) should be strict.

I tried my best to review these Everlast gloves without any bias, as objectively as possible. I asked some female martial arts colleagues of mine to review these gloves over a span of time (averaging a week) so that I can provide the most realistic review possible.

I found the Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves to be a high-quality pair of gloves, which are built well and are thus very durable, and are also very comfortable and fun to use according to all the female friends and training partners I have asked about them.

In this review, I will break down what makes this product worth the money. I will discuss some of its pros and cons, and also give a general overview of the product. The goal of this text is to be of help to anyone trying to find a pair of high-quality women’s gloves.

Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves Overview

These Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves are hybrid or MMA gloves. These gloves were created by merging the classical boxing glove with wrestling gloves, and the end result lets the fighter move their fingers easily and freely, but the gloves still provide enough protection and support to help the fighter avoid injury, even when striking a lot.

The Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves aren’t really meant to be used for boxing or wrestling only, but rather by MMA-fighters or people who need a balanced pair of gloves with which they can train both of these styles in an equal amount.

This specific pair is definitely one o the better gloves in the category out there, which doesn’t come as a surprise, seeing as it is made by Everlast, a well-known sports attire and equipment brand. The durability, design, and comfort of these gloves all make it a well-balanced and high-quality product.

Attractive Design

One thing Everlast is known for is creating products that look great and aesthetically pleasing. These Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves are no exception. They are available in a black/pink color combination or in a white/gold one. Both of them look feminine and well-designed, but not too girlish or immature to make them look cheap or unattractive. The accents and the shades of these colors match perfectly and create a fun but very professional look.

Training in well-designed gloves is fun. It also helps some people with training consistently, since quite simply, wearing great looking gloves is an exciting thing to do and can motivate someone to train more than they otherwise would.

Feeling better about the equipment you are using on training can sometimes even make the difference between good and bad classes since there is some confidence that comes out of wearing something that you are comfortable in, and also happens to be of high quality.

Hook and Loop Band

Having your gloves fit perfectly is one thing, and an important one. It provides stability and makes the usage of the gloves fun and safe, however, there is a part of the gloves aside from the fit of the hand part which is even more important for being able to confidently wear any pair of gloves, and that is the wrist band area.

The Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves feature a hook and loop band solution, which is one of the best available options for securing a pair of martial arts gloves on a fighter’s hands and is widely used in higher-level training.

Though hook and loop bands are usually not as secure as lace-up gloves, they are both cheaper, faster to put on and more practical. Also, higher quality hook and loop bands, like the ones Everlast gloves have, can be really close to the experience of a true lace-up glove, and can even last longer than them. Aside from the backside of sometimes accidentally scratching an opponent with these bands, there is not much about it which is negative for beginner to pre-advanced stages of training, and even professionals can use these gloves often instead of lace-ups.

This makes this glove an accessible, high-quality, and practical option for a wide spectrum of people, so I would advise you to definitely place it on the top of your list of possible investments in the near future if you are looking for great MMA gloves.

High-Quality Materials

These Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves are also a part of the EverDri line of the company’s equipment, which is a line of products made from high-quality materials that provide a dry feeling for one’s hands. The way they put it, it is a “woven-textured matrix of lightweight synthetic material engineered for maximum durability”. Not only is it durable, but also very breathable, providing comfort and a secure grip, since the gloves won’t get too wet or slippery on the inside.

Having gloves made out of high-quality materials has many benefits, and it is probably one of the most important aspects to watch when choosing a pair of gloves. It makes the gloves durable, comfortable, and also breathable, and all of these three benefits complement each other to extend the lifespan and the fun-factor of this product.

Our Verdict

Overall, the Everlast Women’s Everstrike Training Gloves are some of the best gloves out there for almost any level of fighter, though I wouldn’t recommend it for complete beginners, since it might be a large investment if you aren’t sure you are going to use it for a long time.

There is almost nothing bad I can say about these gloves, since they are durable, fun to use, and they also look great. If you are willing to put in the time and effort into training the martial art that you chose to train, buying one of these gloves is going to be a worthwhile investment.
