PFL 10 UFC Orlando - wayofmartialarts.com

UFC Orlando + Weekly MMA Report

PFL 10 was an event to remember. Larissa Pacheco dethroned Kayla Harrison and shocked the world after five rounds of great back-and-forth war. Brendan Loughnane stopped Bubba Jenkins in the fourth round, while Ante Delija looked amazing against Mattheus Scheffel and scored another victory in the rematch to win a 1-million-dollar prize.

Julia Budd lost to Aspen Ladd via a super-controversial split decision, while Stevie Ray lost to Olivier Aubin-Mercier via a powerful hook. We have the first-ever Australian PFL champion, Rob Wilkinson, who scored a fabulous victory over Omari Akhmedov to win the title and monetary prize.

After a one-weekend layoff, the UFC finally returns with a great, promising event in Orlando this Saturday. The clash is headlined by the bout between one of the best strikers in the history of the sport, American kickboxing expert Stephen Thompson, and the guy with the greatest number of fights in the year of CoVid, 2020, Kevin Holland.

Thompson should keep this fight standing if he wants to win, but his opponent is dangerous on the canvas. Holland knows to choke people out and his cardio is out of this world, so Wonderboy will have to play smart all the time if he plans to score a victory. This could easily go all the way.

Prediction: the fight goes the distance

The two veterans will meet in the co-main event of the evening – the former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos and extremely tough Bryan Barbarena. Dos Anjos’ ground and cage game are outstanding, while Barbarena can eat shot after shot. Both guys are very tough but Rafael is more well-rounded, he should get the advantage.

Prediction: dos Anjos to win
