UFC 283 Teixeira Vs Hill + Weekly MMA Report

UFC 283 “Teixeira Vs Hill” + Weekly MMA Report

UFC Vegas 67 took place after a three-week lay-off, and there were many high-level combats. Many fighters scored top-notch finishes. Yet, in the main event of the evening, Sean Strickland outworked Nassourdine Imavov in a five-round warfare. Strickland’s cardio was on point and led him to a pretty much dominant decision victory.

Four fighters earned an extra 50k Performance of the Night bonuses on the UFC Vegas 67 card. Dan Ige destroyed Damon Jackson with a violent punch to the face in the second round, it was one of the best counters ever.

Punahele Soriano gassed out after big strikes in the first, but Roman Kopylov was waiting for a perfect opportunity and annihilated Soriano with big bombs in the second.

Umar Nurmagomedov countered Raoni Barcelos with a sneaky punch for a round-one knockout, while Allan Nascimento pulled out a fantastic standing rear-naked choke submission victory. This was probably the most spectacular moment of UFC Vegas 67.

This week, we’ve got the first pay-per-view (PPV) event of 2023. The UFC 283 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, and it is headlined by a 205-pound title fight between Jamahal Hill and Glover Teixeira.

The 205-pound belt came out of nowhere, as Jiri Prochazka was forced to vacate the belt due to a gruesome shoulder injury, while the clash between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz ended in a draw. Jamahal Hill is known for big bombs and powerful right hand, while Glover Teixeira is one of the greatest submission minds of the game. One way or another, this will hardly last for five rounds.

Prediction: the fight will not go the distance

In the co-main event of the evening, Brandon Moreno squares off against Deiveson Figueiredo for the fourth time. The score is pretty much tied – Moreno’s win, Figgy’s win, and a draw. The fourth combat will show who’s a better fighter. Also, Figgy is defending the UFC 125-pound strap, but Moreno’s coming fresh and motivated from a knockout victory over Kai Kara-France. This one could go into the championship rounds.

Prediction: fight starts round 4
