A very interesting July awaits us with a multitude of attractive duels in the UFC cage.
Last week, UFC President Dana White confirmed the location of ‘Fight Island’ with the announcement of as many as four events that we will be watching at the same event, and now complete lists of fights for these events are known.
Yas Island in Abu Dhabi will host events to be held on July 11, 15, 18, and 25, and the first of these brings us the brutal UFC 251 with three championship titles. This big event will be led by champion Kamara Usman (16-1) and his welterweight challenger Gilbert Burns (19-3). On the same evening, Alexander Volkanovski (21-1) will defend his belt from the featherweight category against the man he took away in his last performance – Max Holloway (21-5). And the third match worthy of the title brings us the match of Peter Yan (14-1) and Jose Aldo (28-6) in the bantamweight category.
Four days later, the UFC returns with an event led by a great fight in the featherweight between Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige.
Then, on July 18, an event awaits us with another belt-worthy fight. Namely, on that date, Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez will fight again for the vacant title in the flyweight category. In the title match of the evening, we will also see Kelvin Gastelum returning to action with a fight against Jack Hermansson.
The last of the announced events brings us a spectacular duel between former champion Robert Whittaker and former challenger Darren Till. And in the title fight, which will precede the clash of stars from the middleweight category, there will be veterans Mauricio Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Let us also mention that Alexander Gustafsson will have his debut in the heavyweight division against former champion Fabricio Werdum on the same evening.
