Finally! There Are No more Obstacle’s in the Organization of the Miocic vs. Cormier Match

Conditions for the organization of the third match between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier could soon be met. In fact, the main one has already been resolved after learning that the ‘Strong Style’ gym opens its doors on May 26th. That was Stipe’s main condition for starting negotiations.

Last week, Stipe Miocic came under a lot of pressure. More and more heavyweight fighters began to think that he should be stripped of his championship belt if he did not defend it soon, and comments on that trail began to come from Daniel Cormier as well. Dana White has not yet been ready to make such a move, but he said that the fight between Miocic and Cormier should definitely be organized as soon as possible. Miocic’s response to the situation was actually very simple.

“The law prevents my head coach from opening the gym. I don’t think I’m above anyone else when it comes to the things I’m allowed to do. Ohio is under these measures until May 29. The second the gym opens, I’ll start training camp. Short and simple. I have never avoided anyone,” Stipe wrote on Twitter, adding that he has a desire to fight Cormier and that the fight will be arranged on the first possible date by which he will have all the necessary conditions for a full training camp.

Of course, the main condition was the opening of the Strong Style hall in which he trains all his career and has no intention of leaving it. Now the good news has finally surfaced, posted on the hall’s official Instagram profile. It returns to normal work on May 26.

It is to be assumed that Miocic will ask for ten to 12 weeks, of which six or seven would be for a full preparatory camp, which would mean that at this point August looks like a good option, and Cormier mentioned something like that. In fact, many believe that this will be the UFC’s condition, that is, that Miocic should definitely defend the title by the end of the summer.

Anyway, this is good news. Miocic has already revealed that his team is negotiating and that they are just waiting to secure the necessary conditions. Dana White announced that “matchmaking” meetings will be organized on Monday and Tuesday. It is to be believed that this fight will also be on the agenda.
