Two weeks ago, at UFC 251, the fight between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal took place for the UFC welterweight championship.
Usman dominated the fight for the whole five rounds and won by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 49-46). Going into the fight, it was interesting to see how Masvidal would deal with Usman’s pace with just a few days of training camp.
The fight went as expected. Usman was in way better shape opposite to Jorge coming on short notice. The “Nigerian Nightmare” dominated every aspect of the fight; he was taking Jorge down at will, holding him down and ground and pounding him.
Kamaru’s clinch game was on point as well. In fact, in some parts of the fight, Usman repeatedly stomped Jorge’s feet with pretty much high intensity. The whole situation caught the eye of the public two weeks ago. Here is what Masvidal has to say about the foot stomps from Usman:
